Dr. Raquel Plotka is an assistant professor of Early Childhood Development, Learning, and Intervention at Pace School of Education in New York. She received her Masters degree at Teachers College, Columbia University and her doctoral degree at Fordham University. Her research is centered on social and emotional development and parent-child interactions in early childhood. Dr. Plotka has studied the role of culture, media, and policy in supporting parent-child interactions in early childhood. She currently studies the effect of parent interactions in the development of complex narratives in multilingual children. She has presented her research in several national and international conferences.
